Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Construction Estimator in Lynn, MA for an on-site, permanent role. You will prepare detailed cost estimates, analyze materials and labor, and collaborate with project managers to shape budgets and schedules.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in Engineering or Construction Management with 5+ years in construction estimation, and possesses strong analytical, mathematical, and communication skills for diverse sectors including hospital, higher education, and commercial

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction estimation.
Proven experience in hospital, higher education, school, commercial, federal or state or government construction, government construction, federal construction, cost estimation, commercial construction, municipal construction, marine construction, restaurant construction, historical construction.
Exceptional analytical and mathematical skills.
Proficiency in computer software for job costing, scheduling, estimating, and project management.
Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
Detail-oriented with a strategic mindset.
In-depth knowledge of research and data analysis methods and estimation formulas.

Responsibilities

Prepare detailed cost estimates by analyzing the materials and labor needed for a project.
Use software for data analysis, forecasting, and budgeting.
Understand the project/program and its requirements.
Determine key variables for cost and other estimates.
Gather first-hand information from sites, warehouses, or other venues.
Conduct research to obtain data on labor costs, materials, production times, etc.
Use complex mathematical formulas and models to predict future costs.
Maintain records of estimated and actual costs.
Accurately predict the cost, size, and duration of future construction projects.
Work closely with project managers and directors to create comprehensive action plans.
Present estimates to stakeholders and key decision-makers.
