Job summary

Jobot is seeking a skilled Construction Estimator in Atlanta for permanent on-site work. You will prepare detailed cost estimates, analyze plans, and coordinate with PMs, engineers and architects to ensure accurate budgeting across healthcare, education, and government sectors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction-related field.
• Minimum of 5 years as a Construction Estimator.
• Experience preparing estimates for healthcare, hospitals, education, schools, commercial and government projects.
• Strong knowledge of materials, processes and equipment.
• Proficient in cost estimation and project management software.
• Excellent data analysis, interpretation of plans and reporting.
• Strong negotiation, communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and ability to work under pressure.
• Knowledge of local, state and federal construction regulations.
• Certifications in cost estimation or project management are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates by analyzing plans and quantity take-offs.
• Evaluate and compare supplier and subcontractor quotes for competitiveness.
• Engage in bid preparation and submission to clients.
• Collaborate with PMs, architects and engineers to understand requirements.
• Conduct risk analysis and develop mitigation strategies.
• Use software to create and present detailed cost reports.
• Stay updated on industry trends in construction cost estimation.
• Provide consultation on planning, scheduling and cost control.
• Participate in project meetings and report on cost-related matters.
