Job summary

Jobot is seeking a skilled Construction Estimator to join our growing team. You will prepare detailed cost estimates across healthcare, higher education, schools, commercial, government, and disaster construction sectors, ensuring projects stay on time and within budget.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Construction Management or Civil Engineering with at least 5 years of estimating experience and proficiency in OST software. A valid driver's license and willingness to travel are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in construction estimating across multiple sectors.
• Proficiency with OST or similar estimating software.
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, processes and equipment.
• Excellent numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Effective communication and negotiation skills for client presentations.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Willingness to travel to project sites with a valid driver's license.
• Professionalism and adherence to ethical standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for materials, labor, equipment, and time.
• Review and refine estimates to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Utilize OST estimating software for project bids.
• Prepare and submit competitive bids for diverse projects.
• Analyze blueprints and project specs for cost implications.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, clients, and subs on costs.
• Conduct risk analysis to identify issues and mitigation options.
• Stay updated on industry trends in construction estimating.
• Advise on planning, scheduling, and cost-control strategies.
• Provide regular project status reports to management.
