Job summary

LeoForce is seeking an experienced Construction Estimator to join our team in a full-time, on-site role. The candidate will prepare time, cost, and labor estimates, and collaborate with clients, vendors, and foremen to resolve issues and improve costing accuracy.

The role requires a minimum of 5 years in construction estimation across multiple sectors and a Civil Engineering or Construction Management degree is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Construction Estimator.
  • Experience in Hospital, Higher Education, School, Commercial, Federal, State, Government, Retail, Medical, and Civil construction.
  • Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking with high accuracy in calculations.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare time, cost and labor estimates for projects.
  • Consult with clients, vendors, personnel, and foremen to discuss estimates.
  • Develop standard hour data and cost reductions.
  • Prepare estimates for planning, organizing, and scheduling.
  • Review material and labor requirements for cost decisions.
  • Conduct risk analysis and mitigation.
  • Keep up with current construction technologies for estimation.
  • Collaborate with project managers to ensure timely estimates.

Job Details

Experience: Senior Level

Salary: $100,000 - $130,000 per year

Responsibilities
  • Analyzing blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost and labor estimates for projects.
  • Consulting with clients, vendors, personnel in other departments, and construction foremen to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.
  • Conducting special studies to develop and establish standard hour and related cost data or effect cost reductions.
  • Preparing estimates used by management for purposes such as planning, organizing, and scheduling work.
  • Preparing cost and expenditure statements and other necessary documentation at regular intervals for the duration of the project.
  • Reviewing material and labor requirements, deciding whether it's more cost-effective to produce or purchase components.
  • Conducting risk analysis for the project and providing appropriate mitigation strategies.
  • Keeping track of the latest construction technologies and applying them in cost estimation processes.
  • Working closely with project managers and other team members to ensure accurate and timely completion of all estimates.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Construction Estimator.
  • Proven experience in Hospital, Higher Education, School, Commercial, Federal, State, Government, Retail, Medical, and Civil construction.
  • A deep understanding of the principles and methods of cost estimation in the construction industry.
  • Excellent knowledge of construction materials, processes, and equipment.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with a high level of accuracy in calculations and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in using computer software for cost estimation.
  • A degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • A strong commitment to ethical business conduct and compliance with all industry regulations.
