Job summary

CDM Smith seeks an experienced Estimator to perform basic to moderately complex estimating tasks on diverse construction projects in Florida. The role involves quantity take-offs, cost research, OPCC preparation, and collaboration with project managers and procurement teams.

The ideal candidate will apply Timberline for cost estimates, assist in bid-day activities, and support scheduling and change management. Travel to project sites may be required, and strong communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline.
• 3 years of related experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic to moderately complex estimating tasks including quantity take-offs and cost research.
• Utilizes Timberline to prepare OPCC and design-build project estimates.
• Supports project managers by reviewing pricing, RFIs, and procurement data.
• Develops simple to complex scopes of work and prepares project documentation.
• Assists in coordinating with vendors, subcontractors and the project team.
