Job summary

CDM Smith seeks an estimator to perform a range of cost estimation tasks across varying construction projects. You will research costs, prepare OPCCs with Timberline, and support bid walks and bid-day activities for accurate pricing and scheduling.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field and at least 3 years of experience, with travel up to 10% or more as project needs require. Strong communication and analytical skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline.
• 3 years of related experience; domestic and/or international travel may be required.
• Equivalent additional directly related experience considered in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic to moderately complex estimating tasks including quantity takeoffs and cost research.
• Utilizes Timberline to prepare Opinions of Probable Cost of Construction (OPCC).
• Develops project schedules and supports project controls and change management.
• Coordinates with subcontractors and suppliers for pricing and bidder interest.
• Reviews and prepares submittals, RFIs, and ensures alignment with drawings and specs.
