Job summary

Argo Group is seeking a Senior Construction Technical Claims Specialist Team Lead to adjudicate complex construction defect claims from offices nationwide or remotely where allowed. This 100% in-office role requires on-site presence five days a week to strengthen culture and profitability.

The role involves handling the most complex claims, coordinating experts, conducting thorough investigations, and reporting trends to leadership.

Qualifications

• Seven years' experience adjudicating construction defect claims with exposure of $100,000 or more.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university; two or more insurance designations or four additional years of related experience may replace the degree.
• Licenses in multiple jurisdictions and ability to obtain others within 120 days.
• Strong business acumen and ability to work independently with initiative.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to develop and maintain productive client relationships and present financial value of your work.

Responsibilities

• Adjudicate construction defect claims at high authority limits with technical complexity.
• Conduct detailed information gathering and analysis to resolve issues.
• Report trends to senior management and underwriters.
• Analyze policies, endorsements, and client instructions to determine coverage.
• Investigate claims promptly and thoroughly, including interviewing all involved parties.
• Manage claims in litigation; coordinate resources for case resolution.
• Set accurate claim reserves considering policy wording.
• Identify loss drivers and trends to reduce frequency and severity.
• Prepare reports and communicate with insured and claimants.
• Negotiate settlement packages within authority.
