Argo Group is seeking a Senior Construction Defect Technical Claims Specialist Team Lead to adjudicate complex construction defect claims from one of several offices or fully remote where allowed. The role emphasizes leadership, in-office presence, and high-stakes settlements.

The ideal candidate has seven years’ construction defect claims experience, a Bachelor's degree, and multi-jurisdiction licenses, with designations or equivalent experience as a substitute.

Qualifications

• Seven years' experience adjudicating construction defect claims with exposure of $100,000 or more.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university required; designations or additional experience may substitute for a degree.
• Licenses in multiple jurisdictions with ability to obtain others within 3 months of hire.

Responsabilités

• Adjudicate construction defect claims at high authority limits with technical complexity.
• Gather information, analyze, and investigate issues to find solutions.
• Report trends and developments to senior management and underwriters.
• Analyze claim forms, endorsements, and records to determine policy coverage.
• Manage claims in litigation and ensure timely resolutions.
• Set claim reserves considering policy wording impacts.
• Identify loss drivers to reduce frequency and severity via data analysis.
• Coordinate expertise resources for case resolution.
• Prepare reports for file documentation.
• Negotiate complex settlements within authority.
• Maintain client relationships and exchange information effectively.
