Job summary

Argo Group is seeking a Senior Construction Defect Technical Claims Specialist Team Lead to adjudicate the most complex construction defect claims from an office-based location. The role requires leadership, deep technical knowledge, and collaboration with underwriters and clients.

Candidates should have extensive experience in construction defect adjudication, multiple licenses, and strong negotiation skills. This is an in-office role with a focus on profitability, culture, and client service.

Qualifications

• Minimum seven years' experience adjudicating construction defect claims with exposure of $100,000 or more.
• Bachelor's degree required; designations or additional experience may substitute for degree.
• Licenses in multiple jurisdictions and ability to obtain others within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Adjudicate construction defect claims with high complexity and high authority limits.
• Conduct detailed information gathering, analysis and investigation.
• Report on claims trends to senior management and underwriters.
• Determine policy coverage and investigate in detail with involved parties.
• Manage claims in litigation and maintain timely reserves and settlements.
