Qualifications

• Minimum 10+ years of property and casualty claims experience.
• Prior experience with construction defect claims is required.
• Pursuit of professional designation such as AIC or CPCU preferred.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Manages a book of claims, including construction defect and property claims, of significant size or complexity.
• Conducts thorough investigations, assesses coverage and liability, and plans claim resolutions.
• Participates in arbitrations, mediations, settlements, or trials as needed.
• Negotiates settlements within authority and advises supervisors on larger cases.
• Communicates complex information clearly to stakeholders while maintaining professionalism.
• Ensures claims handling complies with laws, regulations, and company procedures.
• Serves as technical expert on product(s) and provides strategic insights to management.
• Evaluates issues of strategic importance and recommends actions to executive leadership.
