Great American Insurance Group is seeking a Senior Construction Defect Claims Specialist to manage a growing book of property and construction defect claims, with opportunities to handle other lines. The role requires leadership, cross-training across lines, and licensing in required states.

The position offers a hybrid work model with on-site presence in Cincinnati four days a week and one remote day, plus travel as needed for business.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10+ years of experience in property and casualty claims including general liability or property claims litigation experience.
• Prior experience with construction defect claims is required.
• Completion of or progress toward professional designation (AIC/CPCU) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage a book of claims, including construction defect and property claims, with size/complexity.
• Conduct thorough investigations, assess coverage/liability, and strategize claim resolution.
• Attend arbitrations, mediations, settlements or trials as needed and negotiate settlements within authority.
• Ensure compliance with statutes and company procedures; communicate decisions to stakeholders.
