Great American Insurance Group’s Corporate Claims division seeks a Senior Construction Defects Claims Specialist to manage a growing book of property and construction defect claims. The role requires cross-training across lines and licensure in states requiring an adjuster’s license.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in property and casualty claims, expertise in construction defect, and strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in property & casualty claims, including construction defect.
• Professional designation such as AIC or CPCU preferred.
• Strong analytical, negotiation and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage a book of claims, including construction defect and property claims, large in size or complexity.
• Conduct thorough investigations, assess coverage and liability, and plan claim resolution strategies.
• Attend arbitrations, mediations, settlements or trials as needed; negotiate settlements.
