Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in property and casualty claims including general liability or property claims litigation experience.
• Prior experience with construction defect claims is required.
• Completion of or continuing progress toward a professional designation such as AIC or CPCU is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manages a book of claims, including construction defect and property claims, of significant size and complexity.
• Conducts thorough investigations, assesses coverage and liability, and develops strategies for claim resolution.
• Represents the company in arbitrations, mediations, and settlement conferences or trials as needed.
• Negotiates settlements within authority and escalates cases beyond personal authority for review.
• Communicates complex information clearly to all parties while maintaining professional conduct.
