Job summary

Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP and Affiliates in New York seeks a Senior Analyst for New Business Conflicts Clearance. The role requires on-site work three days a week, with potential for fully remote candidates in select states who can cover EST hours.

You will conduct thorough conflicts checks, maintain records in the conflicts database, and support a seamless conflicts resolution process, coordinating with attorneys and office staff to ensure compliance and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Minimum three years of relevant experience in a law firm or professional services firm.
• Experience working within a conflicts department at an Am Law 200 firm is preferred.
• Familiarity with conflicts database software, preferably iManage or Intapp.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze conflicts reports to identify potential conflicts of interest.
• Collaborate with the New Business Conflict Clearance team, Conflicts Attorneys, and G Co. to resolve conflicts and facilitate new matter openings.
• Communicate with attorneys and staff to gather information for conflicts checks and resolve discrepancies in iManage requests.
• Validate conflict check requirements with the requesting lawyer or secretary to ensure policy compliance.
• Conduct corporate research to verify information and understand corporate relationships and structures.
• Coordinate with Client Accounting and other departments to ensure data integrity in the database.
• Provide after-hours and weekend coverage as needed to maintain conflicts resolution processes.
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
