Job summary

Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP is seeking a New Business Conflicts Clearance Analyst in New York. The role supports the conflicts clearance team by performing thorough conflicts checks, updating the database, and ensuring smooth operation of the conflicts resolution process.

You will review reports, collaborate with attorneys and staff, gather information, and ensure compliance with firm policies. Strong attention to detail and discretion are essential in a high-stakes environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum 2 years' relevant experience.
• Experience at an Am Law 200 firm preferred.
• Experience with conflicts database software (iManage/Intapp) is preferred.
• Ability to handle sensitive matters with discretion and sound judgment.

Responsibilities

• Review conflicts reports to identify potential issues needing resolution.
• Collaborate with Conflicts Attorneys and G.C. Office to resolve ethical conflicts.
• Communicate with attorneys and staff to gather necessary information for checks.
• Validate requirements with the requesting lawyer or secretary to ensure compliance.
• Conduct corporate research to verify information and understand relationships.
• Coordinate with Client Accounting and other departments for data integrity.
• Provide after-hours and weekend coverage as needed.
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication.
