Job summary

Syms Strategic Group is seeking a Senior Configuration Analyst - II to lead CM across VA programs in a remote role. You will drive cloud migration, implement CM tools, and oversee build/release processes to ensure compliance and reproducibility.

Ideal candidates bring deep CM and release engineering expertise, experience in regulated environments, and a track record of guiding teams through complex deployments while maintaining strong stakeholder collaboration.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical discipline.
10+ years of relevant experience in configuration management or related field.
U.S. Citizenship required for this opportunity.
Experience in federal/regulated environments is a plus.
Strong knowledge of CM and release engineering practices.

Responsibilities

Support VA applications and spearhead the migration to the cloud.
Develop and maintain software configuration management tools for CM identification, control, reporting, and delivery of software and COTS products.
Perform CM and release engineering tasks to ensure documented and logistically sustainable build parameters.
Design, develop, automate, and maintain productivity tools to improve software modeling and development.
Design and implement build procedures to support software product development and use.
Develop software configuration standards for company-wide use.
Train software developers in CM tools and quality standards.
Provide technical guidance and solutions to complex problems.
Operate autonomously and meet deadlines in fast-paced environments.
