Job summary

Syms Strategic Group, LLC is seeking a Senior Configuration Analyst - II to support VA applications and drive cloud migration. You will develop and maintain software CM tools, implement build procedures, and train developers in CM best practices.

The role requires deep CM expertise, experience in regulated environments, and strong collaboration with stakeholders to ensure secure, reproducible deployments across projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline with 10+ years' relevant experience (8+ years may substitute for education).
• Experience leading complex software builds/releases across environments in regulated/federal settings.
• Proficiency in CM practices: identification, baselining, change control, status accounting.

Responsibilities

• Support VA applications and lead migration to the cloud.
• Develop and maintain CM tools for identification, control, reporting, and delivery of software including COTS.
• Perform CM and release engineering to document parameters and ensure compliant build procedures.
• Design, automate, and maintain productivity tools to improve modeling and development.
• Build procedures to support software product development and use.
• Create software configuration standards for company-wide use.
• Train developers on CM tools and quality practices.
• Provide guidance on complex technical problems.
• Operate autonomously and make sound decisions.
• Ensure repeatable build/deploy processes across projects.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and mentor junior analysts/engineers.
