Job summary

JE Dunn Construction seeks a Superintendent 1 in Austin, TX to plan, manage and execute all aspects of assigned projects. This role will oversee materials, equipment and people, ensuring documentation is complete and project goals are met for timely, profitable completion.

Responsibilities include leading safety culture, managing subcontractors, coordinating site activities and maintaining schedules and budgets, while collaborating with owners, design teams and authorities to deliver

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years construction experience.
• 1+ years field supervision experience.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Willingness to travel/relocate as needed.
• Non-traditional hours to meet project needs.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety culture across projects and coach teams.
• Manage subcontractors and overall workflow of the job site.
• Oversee staff, subcontractors, suppliers and program areas (Safety, Quality, EEO).
• Develop work plans for subcontractors and self-performed work.
• Coordinate site care, custody and control; manage project schedule with Project Manager.
• Lead regular progress and trade meetings; participate in OAC meetings.
• Track budget and costs using project management reports.
• Ensure documentation, logs, drawings and daily/weekly reports are updated.
• Communicate project information to owners, design team and authorities.
• Support project closeouts with pre-punch and owner coordination.
