Job summary

JE Dunn is seeking a Superintendent 1 in Texas to plan, manage and execute assigned projects, overseeing material, equipment and people management while ensuring timely, profitable completion. Qualifications

• Ability to perform work accurately and completely, and in a timely manner.
• Strong communication and presentation skills; intermediate MS Office.
• Knowledge of construction management fundamentals and project processes.

Responsibilities

• Leads all aspects of the safety culture and mentors others.
• Manages subcontractors and organizes overall job workflow.
• Oversees staff, subcontractors, suppliers and programs (Safety, Quality, EEO).
• Develops work plans for subcontractors and self-performed work.
• Coordinates and manages project site care, custody and control.
• Leads daily standup and weekly trade meetings; participates in OAC meetings.
• Creates and adjusts project schedule with Project Manager.
• Monitors costs using project reports and data from the PM.
• Communicates key information to owners, design team and authorities.
• Maintains project documentation and logs; records unit costs.
• Manages self-perform progress and adjusts as needed.
• Manages material and equipment needs; supports procurement processes.
• Assists in formwork/tool selection; oversees timecard approvals.
• Ensures QA/QC compliance and project closeouts with owner/architect.
• Assists in pursuit process and project pre-planning with leadership.
• Works with field leadership to staff assigned project.
