Job summary

Green Key Resources is seeking a Senior Compliance Manager to lead and strengthen its compliance function. This hands-on leadership role will interpret employment regulations, identify risks, develop practical solutions, and partner with Legal, People, and business leaders.

The ideal candidate has a strong compliance and/or employment law background with multi-state experience. A legal background (attorney/paralegal) may also translate well in this role, and prior people-management experience is

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in compliance, employment law, HR compliance, or closely related area.
• Strong knowledge of employment law and wage/hour requirements.
• Multi-state and multi-jurisdictional compliance experience.
• Experience with audits, policy development, risk monitoring, and regulatory reporting.
• Ability to interpret legal and regulatory language and guide internal stakeholders.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organization and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, Law or related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
• Prior people-management experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and oversee compliance programs, policies, and procedures.
• Monitor federal, state, and local employment laws and translate requirements into practical guidance.
• Provide guidance on employment law, wage and hour, classifications, EEO, pay transparency.
• Identify compliance risks and develop action plans.
• Lead compliance audits, assessments, reporting, and ongoing risk monitoring.
• Develop and maintain compliance governance processes and documentation.
• Support federal and state reporting requirements, including EEO and pay transparency.
• Partner with Legal and cross-functional stakeholders on escalated matters.
• Review and interpret regulatory language for internal guidance.
• Stay current on changes to employment regulations and update policies.
• Balance strategic oversight with hands-on execution and lead a growing team.
