Job summary

Jobgether is seeking a Sr./Staff Compliance Engineer in the United States to lead the compliance strategy for next-generation thermal energy storage systems. This senior role spans design, testing, and deployment, coordinating with engineering teams and regulatory bodies to ensure safety, performance, and production readiness.

You will shape industry codes and standards, develop robust safety cases, and optimize certification pathways across domestic and international markets while balancing

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in mechanical, electrical, chemical, fire protection, or related engineering with 8+ years in product compliance or safety engineering.
• Hands-on experience certifying novel or first-of-a-kind equipment with AHJs or certifiers (UL, CSA, TÜV, Intertek).
• Strong ability to develop safety cases, hazard analyses, and test programs.

Responsibilities

• Own compliance strategy across product design, testing, and deployment with certification boundaries and dependencies.
• Collaborate with engineers to assess hazards, safe failure behavior, and compliance requirements.
• Develop reusable safety cases and establish relationships with AHJs, NRTLs, and certifiers.
• Lead codes and standards advocacy with NFPA, ASME, ASHRAE, UL Standards & Engagement, and others.
