Job summary

Antora Energy seeks a Sr./Staff Compliance Engineer to establish and own its compliance strategy as we scale our thermal batteries. You will influence codes and standards, build reusable safety cases, and develop practical certification pathways with AHJs and certifiers for fast, safe deployment.

You will collaborate with product, engineering, testing, projects and EH&S, shaping certification approaches for NFPA, UL, ASME and international frameworks, with travel of ~15–25% to sites and meetings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, chemical, fire protection, or related engineering field.
• 8+ years in product compliance, certification, safety engineering, or codes and standards for energy/industrial/high-hazard equipment.
• Hands-on experience taking novel equipment through certification with AHJs and certifiers.

Responsibilities

• Own Antora's compliance strategy across design, testing and deployment.
• Develop safety cases and certification pathways with AHJs and NRTLs.
• Lead codes and standards advocacy with NFPA, ASME, ASHRAE, UL, and related bodies.
• Inform project-level certification strategy and assess AHJ requirements per site.
• Develop UL/NRTL certification strategy aligned with product roadmap.
• Create a codes and standards database for domestic and international jurisdictions.
• Recommend environmental design standards and determine regional variations.
• Help write the company safety and reliability policy with EH&S.
• Typical travel ~15–25% for meetings and site engagements.
