Job summary

Eos Energy Enterprises in Edison, NJ is seeking a Senior Certification Test Engineer to lead certification testing, validate product performance, and troubleshoot compliance issues in a collaborative engineering environment.

The role partners with Compliance Engineering, Product Development, Quality, and external labs to ensure thorough testing, accurate reports, and timely certification submissions across 3–12 hour energy storage applications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related technical discipline.
• 8+ years of experience in product testing, verification, validation, certification testing, or regulatory compliance within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
• Strong ability to execute test plans and document results.
• Experience with lab audits and compliance documentation.

Responsibilities

• Execute certification, validation, and compliance testing per test plans and regulatory requirements.
• Perform hands-on testing of products, subsystems, and components in lab environments.
• Analyze test results and identify nonconformances, compliance gaps, and areas for improvement.
• Investigate test failures and support root cause analysis to resolve issues.
• Prepare detailed test reports, findings, and documentation for submissions.
• Coordinate test sample preparation, instrumentation setup, and testing logistics.
• Review lab data to verify completeness and accuracy against requirements.
• Support compliance engineers during certification projects with technical testing input.
• Collaborate with product development to assess impact of design changes on testing outcomes.
• Monitor ongoing product compliance by supporting requalification, sustaining engineering, and change management.
• Maintain and calibrate testing equipment and ensure lab practices meet quality standards.
• Support audits by providing test records, reports, and technical documentation.
• Recommend improvements to testing processes and data collection methods.
