Job summary

Baker Tilly is seeking a Senior for our Compliance Advisory team to advise governmental, tribal, private, and not-for-profit clients on grant management and compliance. You will strengthen internal controls, develop policies, and deliver practical solutions to improve processes and organizational effectiveness.

Lead grant reviews, collaborate with clients, and guide junior staff. Travel about 20% may be required. A relevant accounting/finance degree with professional designations is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, public administration, or a related field (required).
• Master’s in Accounting, MBA, or MPA preferred.
• CPA/CIA/CGMA/CFE or similar designation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support grant compliance monitoring activities and review subrecipient performance.
• Lead grant compliance reviews and develop clear findings and recommendations.
• Conduct internal control reviews, internal audits, and operational assessments.
• Develop and enhance policies, procedures, processes, and internal controls.
• Prepare client deliverables including findings, recommendations, and reports.
• Collaborate with clients to improve compliance, controls, and operations.
• Communicate project status and results to teams and stakeholders.
• Review junior staff work to ensure high-quality, timely delivery.
