Job summary

Baker Tilly seeks a Senior to join our Compliance Advisory team, providing advisory and consulting services to governmental, tribal, private, and not-for-profit clients with emphasis on grant management and compliance, internal controls, and policy development.

You will collaborate with clients and team members to assess needs, identify improvement opportunities, and deliver practical solutions that strengthen processes, controls, and organizational effectiveness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, public administration or related field is required.
• Master’s in Accounting, MBA or MPA preferred.
• CPA/CIA/CGA/CFE or other designation preferred is advantageous.
• Experience with governmental, tribal and not-for-profit organizations is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support project planning and execute grant compliance monitoring activities, including development of monitoring programs and review of subrecipient performance, financial reporting, and compliance with applicable requirements.
• Perform and lead grant compliance reviews, evaluate documentation, and develop findings and recommendations; assist clients through implementation.
• Conduct internal control reviews, audits, and assessments, evaluating processes, risks, controls, and opportunities for improvement.
• Develop and enhance policies, procedures, processes, and internal controls based on needs and leading practices.
• Prepare client deliverables including findings, recommendations, and draft/ final reports.
