Job summary

Baker Tilly is seeking a Senior to join our Compliance Advisory team. In this cross-functional role, you will provide advisory and consulting services to governmental, tribal, private, and not-for-profit organizations, with a focus on grant management and compliance, internal controls, and the development and enhancement of policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, public administration, or a related field.
• Master’s in Accounting, MBA, or MPA preferred.
• Experience with grant management, compliance activities, internal control reviews or assessments, and/or internal audit.

Responsibilities

• Support grant compliance monitoring activities, including development of monitoring programs and review of subrecipient performance.
• Perform and lead grant compliance reviews, evaluate documentation, and provide actionable findings.
• Perform and lead internal control reviews, audits, and operational assessments.
• Develop and enhance policies, procedures, processes, and internal controls.
• Conduct interviews, review documents, perform analyses, and prepare client deliverables.
• Collaborate with clients to understand accounting practices and improve compliance and operations.
• Communicate project status and results to team members and client stakeholders.
• Provide guidance to junior team members to ensure high-quality, timely delivery.
