Job summary

The Travelers Indemnity Company seeks an AVP, Business Torts Complex Claim Liability Specialist in Minnesota. You will lead investigations, evaluate exposure, and negotiate defenses across jurisdictions with autonomy, collaborating with underwriting, legal, and leadership to drive favorable outcomes.

The ideal candidate has ten years of complex liability experience, a law degree preferred, and an active adjuster license where required.

Qualifications

• Ten years of handling complex General Liability, Cyber and Technology E&O litigation/claims handling.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication to convey complex information clearly to stakeholders.
• Ability to make independent decisions and negotiate settlements strategically.

Responsibilities

• Directly handle the most severe and complex General Liability Coverage B, Tech E&O, and Cyber claims.
• Lead end-to-end investigation and conduct coverage analysis; draft letters and assess recovery potential.
• Establish accurate reserves and adjust through the claim lifecycle.
• Identify and assess risk transfer and subrogation opportunities as needed.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to claims professionals.
• Acquire and maintain relevant Insurance License(s) within three months of starting.
