Job summary

The Travelers Indemnity Company in Minnesota seeks an AVP, Business Torts Complex Claim Liability Specialist to investigate, evaluate, negotiate and resolve the most complex claims with high exposure. This role operates autonomously, partnering with business units, reinsurers, legal counsel, underwriting and leadership to deliver optimal outcomes.

Qualifications

• Law degree preferred, but not required.
• Ten years of handling complex General Liability, Cyber and Technology E&O litigation and/or claims handling experience.
• Active adjuster license where required by state law.
• Experience with claims management systems, with advanced skills in Microsoft Office and enterprise technology systems and platforms.

Responsibilities

• Directly handle the most severe and complex General Liability Coverage B, Tech E&O and cyber claims from initiation to resolution.
• Lead end-to-end investigation of high severity complex claims and draft coverage letters when needed.
• Establish accurate reserves and adjust as needed throughout the claim lifecycle.
• Evaluate complex liability and recovery potential, including data breach, ransomware and privacy claims.
• Mentor and provide guidance to claims professionals and coordinate with counsel and leadership.
