CNA Insurance in New Jersey is seeking a senior claims professional to lead the Mass Tort Claims Unit. You will handle the most complex, high-exposure claims, including multi-year coverage issues, settlements, and coordination with counsel.

You will analyze policy language, determine coverage, set reserves, and mentor junior staff while reporting to senior leadership. This role requires strong negotiation, litigation management, and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Expert knowledge of commercial insurance industry, products, policy language, and coverage issues.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with senior stakeholders.
• Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Extensive experience leading complex negotiations and resolution strategies.
• Must obtain/maintain an Insurance Adjuster License within 90 days where applicable.

Responsabilités

• Assess coverage obligations and prepare written determinations.
• Manage an inventory of the most complex commercial claims and oversee all aspects of handling.
• Ensure exceptional customer service by driving improvements for claims handling.
• Set and manage timely reserves considering coverage, liability, and damages.
• Lead claim resolution strategies including negotiations and complex litigation management.
• Mentor and train less experienced claim professionals.
