Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with Master's preferred in a related discipline or JD preferred, or equivalent experience.
• Typically, a minimum of 10 years related work experience such as claims or legal experience with proven track record of success.
• Latent injury and/or high severity general liability claims experience strongly preferred.
• Must have or be able to obtain and maintain an Insurance Adjuster License within 90 days of hire, where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Assess coverage obligations including analyzing policy language to prepare written coverage determinations; partner with coverage counsel as applicable.
• Manages an inventory of the most complex commercial claims with multi-year coverage, significant loss exposure, following company protocols.
• Ensures exceptional customer service by driving continuous improvements for all aspects of the claim/account.
• Sets and manages timely reserves considering coverage, liability, and damages.
• Drives resolution of claims by coordinating with internal and external partners to develop and execute strategies, including settlements and coordination with counsel.
• Proactively coordinates, leads, and executes agreed-upon strategies; presents high exposure matters to senior leadership.
