Job summary

Travelers is seeking an experienced claims professional in California to independently manage high-complexity bodily injury and property damage claims from first notice of loss through final resolution. You will conduct detailed investigations, assess liability, determine reserves, and coordinate with counsel and executives to achieve favorable outcomes.

The role requires strong negotiation skills, expert knowledge of insurance principles, and the ability to handle high-volume, high-stakes cases

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required or equivalent
• 5+ years of complex bodily injury and litigation claims experience
• Active adjuster license as required by state law
• Experience with claims management software and MS Office

Responsibilities

• Manage an active caseload of injury and/or property damage claims from first notice to resolution
• Conduct detailed investigations to gather evidence and assess liability
• Evaluate claim information and determine coverage and damages
• Engage in negotiations with claimants and legal representatives
• Develop and implement advanced resolution strategies and coordinate resources
• Prepare detailed status reports for senior management
