Job summary

Farm Family is seeking a Complex Claims Specialist to join our Omaha office (also open in Albany). The role involves investigating, evaluating, negotiating, and settling complex auto bodily injury claims, with emphasis on coverage, liability, and damages.

The position is 100% in-office, reporting to a Claims Manager in Springfield, MO. Ideal candidates will have at least five years of complex auto claim adjudication experience, a Bachelor’s degree, and the ability to obtain necessary licenses

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university required.
• Minimum of five years’ experience adjudicating complex and high exposure auto bodily injury claims.
• Must be licensed or able to obtain a license to adjudicate first party claims within 120 days.

Responsibilities

• Adjudicate complex and high exposure auto bodily injury claims with significant impact on results.
• Provide excellent customer service to insureds and brokers.
• Assess coverage, liability and damages and determine proper reserving and claims resolution.
• Negotiate settlements within authority and coordinate with experts as needed.
• Attend mediations and leverage defense counsel when necessary.
• Ensure compliance with state regulations and company reserving philosophy.
