Job summary

Farm Family is seeking a Senior Claims Specialist to join our Omaha office, with flexibility for Albany, Chicago, LA, NYC, or Richmond offices. This 100% in‑office role focuses on investigation, evaluation, and settlement of general liability and some commercial auto claims.

Candidates must manage coverage assessments, communicate with customers, and coordinate experts and counsel as needed. You will work under technical supervision, complying with regulations, while delivering superb results

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university required.
• Two years' experience adjudicating claims is required, preferably general liability and commercial auto.
• Must be able to obtain necessary state licenses and maintain CE requirements.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build lasting relationships.
• Strong claim negotiation skills and ability to use multiple negotiation styles.

Responsibilities

• Adjudicate third‑party bodily injury and property damage claims under supervision and within authority.
• Provide laser-focused customer service and develop long‑lasting client connections.
• Analyze forms, policies, endorsements and instructions to determine coverage.
• Investigate claims, interview involved parties and gather facts.
• Negotiate settlements and manage reserves consistent with policy and guidelines.
• Prepare reports and present trends to management and underwriters.
• Ensure compliance with state regulations and organizational procedures.
