Job summary

Valley Medical Center & Clinics is seeking a Senior Compensation Analyst to administer and optimize its compensation programs in alignment with organizational philosophy and market data. You will provide consultation to leadership, maintain data integrity, and support ongoing compensation initiatives.

The role requires strong analytical skills, experience with HRIS systems, and a solid understanding of pay structures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Business Administration, Human Resources, Finance or other relevant field; an additional four years of experience may substitute the degree.
• Minimum five years' compensation analysis experience required, preferably in health care.
• Solid understanding of compensation principles, market benchmarking, and pay structures.
• Experience with HRIS systems (Infor preferred).
• Proficient in Word, Excel and other applicable software.

Responsibilities

• Administer VMCC's compensation program reflecting policy, labor market, bargaining units, and legal requirements.
• Conduct ongoing market analysis using salary surveys and industry data for annual increases and merit planning.
• Provide consultation to leaders on compensation decisions including new hires, promotions, and in‑grade salary adjustments.
• Evaluate requests and develop recommendations supporting equity and market competitiveness.
• Maintain compensation databases and ensure fair position placement within the market-based program.
• Prepare compensation recommendations and presentations for leadership review.
• Complete salary surveys and analyze results.
