Job summary

Mortenson Construction seeks a Commissioning Executive II to provide senior leadership across the commissioning scope, guiding design-to-operations transitions on complex projects and ensuring client satisfaction, schedule adherence, and technical excellence.

You will manage multiple projects, lead cross-functional teams, control budgets and pricing for profitability, mentor staff, and collaborate with clients to grow trusted relationships nationwide, travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction, Civil, Architectural, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering or 15+ years of field experience.
• Seventeen years of construction management or commissioning experience.
• Expert knowledge of design, construction, start-up, commissioning, and turnover processes.
• Ability to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Lead customer service visits from pre-construction to close-out.
• Preview proposals before submission and participate in the RFP process.
• Act as primary customer contact for all assigned projects.
• Maintain customer relationships and awareness of current and future projects.
• Support business development by building client relationships.
• Oversight and accountability for large projects.
• Establish and implement project objectives and procedures.
• Maintain commissioning budgets, costs, and pricing for profitability.
• Develop team members for growth and training opportunities.
• Provide high-level management of quality, risk, safety, and compliance.
• Build relationships across diverse backgrounds and organizational levels.
• Lead by example and coach team members in line with LeadBLU principles.
• Perform all other duties as assigned
