Berkley Southeast is seeking a Senior Underwriter to evaluate, price, and maintain a professionally underwritten book of business. The role partners with agents and Territory Managers to manage complex accounts and ensure profitability.

The position requires deep knowledge of commercial lines and the ability to mentor others. Travel to agent locations and ongoing collaboration with teams are essential elements of the role.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years commercial lines underwriting experience across CGL, Property, Packages, BOP, Auto, Crime, IM, Umbrella and/or WC.
• Comprehensive knowledge of commercial lines products and contracts including state regulatory differences.
• Strong organization and multitasking abilities with sound judgment.

• Evaluate, price, and manage commercially underwritten risks within delegated authority.
• Collaborate with agents and Territory Managers to grow and maintain book of business.
• Mentor and support underwriters on high-hazard or complex accounts.
