Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in insurance or related field or equivalent underwriting experience
• Advanced analytical and critical-thinking skills to assess risks
• Strong quantitative skills to calculate premiums and loss ratios
• Effective communication with internal stakeholders and agency partners
• Collaboration and teamwork with cross-functional teams
• Ability to draft clear reports and procedural documentation

Responsibilities

• Underwrite new business by evaluating applications and risks
