Job summary

Travelers is seeking an Account Executive, Commercial Accounts in the United States. The role focuses on managing profitability and growth across an assigned book while underwriting and negotiating to minimize risk and maximize profitability.

You will partner with agents/brokers and internal teams to drive sales plans and cross-sell opportunities. The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of underwriting in commercial lines, a Bachelor’s degree, and CPCU is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 3–5 years of underwriting experience in commercial lines.
• CPCU designation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage the profitability, growth, and retention of an assigned book of business.
• Underwrite and negotiate customer accounts to minimize risk and maximize profitability.
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with internal partners to create sales plans and identify cross-selling opportunities.
• Foster and maintain relationships with external partners by meeting in person with agents and brokers to market and sell Travelers products.
• Must be able to travel to such meetings.
• Identify and capture new business opportunities using consultative marketing and sales skills.
• Develop and execute agency sales plans.
• Execute region/group sales plans.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
