Job summary

First Financial Bank seeks a Commercial Portfolio Manager in Grand Rapids, MI to manage a portfolio of client relationships and assess financial performance, collateral, and credit risk in partnership with Credit and Sales teams.

You will lead on-site client visits, analyze financial data, prepare opportunity memos, and participate in quarterly reviews, driving portfolio growth with prudent risk management and cross-sell opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher.
• 7 years in Commercial banking or credit underwriting.
• Proficient with Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Analytical and problem-solving capabilities with client focus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain client relationships with onsite and periodic visits.
• Expand existing relationships by assessing changing financial needs.
• Understand client needs from financial data to deepen profitable relationships.
• Maintain credit quality for the assigned portfolio.
• Underwrite loans with Credit partner to meet borrower and bank needs.
• Prepare opportunity memos and deal models for new opportunities.
• Support collateral monitoring and risk rating reviews with Credit.
• Lead periodic portfolio reviews and communicate borrower performance.
