SouthState Bank is seeking a Commercial Portfolio Manager II to support the commercial loan and deposit portfolio under Relationship Managers. You will deliver underwriting, portfolio management, and superior client service.

This role requires 4–6 years of credit analysis and commercial banking experience, knowledge of loan structuring, and compliance with banking regulations. Expect collaboration across Loan Operations, Credit Administration, and frontline teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4-6 years of credit analysis and commercial banking experience.
• Experience in portfolio management and underwriting.
• Familiarity with loan structuring and loan documentation.
• In-depth knowledge of Federal and State lending regulations and bank policies.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze financial information to evaluate credit worthiness of loan requests.
• Prepare credit memos with background, borrower analysis, and risk assessment.
• Guide loan requests through the Credit Approval Process.
• Monitor and service large commercial loan portfolios; maintain documentation.
• Collaborate with Relationship Managers, Loan Operations, and Credit leadership.
