Job summary

SouthState Bank, N.A. is seeking a Commercial Portfolio Manager II to support the commercial loan and deposit portfolio. You will perform underwriting, financial analysis, and portfolio management for Relationship Managers across Commercial, CRE, or Middle Market sectors.

Responsibilities include preparing credit memos, guiding loan requests through approvals, and ensuring compliance with bank policies and regulations while maintaining strong client service and internal partner relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level education in business/finance or related field is required.
• Experience: 4–6 years in credit analysis and commercial banking with 2+ years in portfolio management/underwriting.
• Knowledge of accounting, lending principles, and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Analyze financial information to evaluate creditworthiness of loan requests and ongoing portfolio management.
• Assemble commercial loan packages with memos, financial analysis, and risk considerations.
• Guide loan requests through Credit Approval Process and ensure structure meets client needs.
