Job summary

SouthState Bank in Houston seeks a Commercial Portfolio Manager to support the commercial loan and deposit portfolios for Relationship Managers. Qualifications

• Four-year degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or related field; Graduation from a recognized school of banking is an asset or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in credit analysis, commercial banking, business banking with at least 2 years of portfolio management and/or underwriting experience.
• Knowledge in lending regulations and Bank policies; excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze financial information to evaluate credit worthiness of new loan requests, renewal loan requests and on-going portfolio management.
• Compile commercial loan packages with background information, borrower analysis and risk evaluation.
• Guide loan requests through the Credit Approval Process and ensure structure meets client needs.
• Ensure compliance with State and Federal regulations and Bank policies.
• Monitor and service large commercial loan portfolios with covenant testing and servicing reviews.
• Assist Relationship Manager in credit presentations to Credit Administration and Committees.
• Maintain documentation for all loans and approvals; work with LOA to clear deficiencies.
• Stay aware of BSA/AML/CIP/OFAC requirements and regulatory changes.
