Job summary

SouthState Bank is seeking a Commercial Portfolio Manager Team Lead to oversee a team of Commercial Portfolio Managers and support Commercial loan portfolios for Relationship Managers.

You will analyze financial information to evaluate creditworthiness, compile loan packages with background information, ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and bank policies, and guide the loan request through the Credit Approval Process.

Responsibilities

• Manages and leads a team of Portfolio Managers, including training, coaching and development.
• Reviews and decides Annual Servicing Reviews and other requests within designated loan authority.
• Analyzes financial information to evaluate the credit worthiness of new and renewal loan requests, and ongoing portfolio management.
• Compiles commercial loan packages with written credit memos and supporting background information.
• Guides the loan request through the Credit Approval Process and ensures structure meets client needs and bank objectives.
• Monitors and services large commercial loan portfolios and ensures compliance with regulations and bank policies.
