Job summary

Columbia Bank seeks an experienced Commercial Banking Specialist to serve as the primary liaison with commercial customers through onboarding and daily relationship management. You will work with loan documentation teams to underwrite, prepare and close C&I and construction loans, while ensuring regulatory compliance and accurate file maintenance.

Qualifications

• More than 10 years — banking, loan administration and documentation experience (Required)
• Solid loan administration experience with knowledge of complex lending structures, letters of credit, borrower-based lending, multi-phased construction and multiple collateral properties
• Knowledge in real estate construction draw analysis, reconciliation and disbursement
• Experience reviewing and interpreting title insurance commitments and title exceptions
• Proven analytical and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

• Act as a primary liaison with Commercial customers during onboarding and ongoing relationship management
• Partner with Commercial Relationship Team for underwriting, documentation and closing of C&I, construction, term loans, deposits and services
• Set up, process, and monitor documents to meet customer specifications and regulatory requirements
• Prepare data input sheets and board customer relationships on servicing systems
• Maintain files for third-party review and audits; coordinate with attorneys to finalize documents protecting bank interests
• Monitor loan and financial ticklers; ensure closing conditions are met and loans close on time
• Resolve customer problems related to bank products and services and process account maintenance requests
• Ensure compliance with Bank Secrecy Act, Regulation CC, Regulation E and other applicable rules
