Job summary

Columbia Bank is seeking an experienced Commercial Banking Liaison to drive onboarding of new relationships and ongoing management of existing Commercial customers. You will work with the Commercial Relationship Team on underwriting, documentation, and closing for complex loans, deposits, and services, ensuring regulatory compliance and timely processing.

The role requires extensive banking experience, superior communication, and proficiency with Word and Excel.

Qualifications

More than 10 years — banking, loan administration and documentation experience.
Solid knowledge of complex lending structures (construction loans, letters of credit, borrower-based lending).
Ability to analyze title insurance commitments/reports and title/escrow instructions.
Proven analytical and problem-solving skills; strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

Onboard Commercial customers and manage relationships across onboarding, underwriting, and closing.
Coordinate with Relationship Team to obtain and review information for underwriting and closing of loans and deposit services.
Prepare documents for filing, ensure regulatory compliance, and maintain files for audits and third-party reviews.
Work with attorneys/financial resources to negotiate accurate documents protecting the bank’s interests.
Monitor loan conditions, ticklers, and customer inquiries; provide timely servicing and account maintenance.
