Job summary

Columbia Bank is seeking an experienced Commercial Banking Specialist to manage onboarding and ongoing administration of Commercial customer relationships. The role focuses on underwriting, documentation, and closing of complex loans, while ensuring regulatory compliance and timely service.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in banking, strong knowledge of real estate construction draws, title processes, and the ability to mentor others.

Qualifications

• More than 10 years banking, loan administration and documentation experience (Required)
• Knowledge of complex lending structures, letters of credit, borrower-based lending, multi-phased construction and multiple collateral properties
• Experience with title insurance commitments, title exceptions and title/escrow instructions
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to train and mentor others as needed

Responsibilities

• Onboard Commercial customers and review information for underwriting and closing complex loans
• Prepare data input sheets and file setup for servicing systems; maintain documentation for audits
• Coordinate with attorneys to finalize loan documentation protecting the bank's interests
• Set up loan ticklers and ensure closing conditions are met within timeframes
• Respond to customer issues and facilitate account maintenance and advances requests
• Ensure compliance with Bank Secrecy Act, Regulation CC, E and other applicable regulations
