Job summary

USI Insurance Services seeks an experienced Commercial Lines Account Manager to oversee 20 to 30 large or complex accounts, serving as the day-to-day contact for clients in the Toledo area.

You will lead marketing for new and renewal business, review coverage, and coordinate with Sales Executives and Account Managers to ensure accurate, timely responses and optimal carrier placements. A thorough knowledge of Property & Casualty insurance and strong negotiation skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in a Commercial Lines agency.
• Expert understanding of Property & Casualty insurance.
• Must hold a Property & Casualty license.
• Industry designation such as ARM, CIC, CPCU preferred.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Stay informed about industry trends and technology.

Responsibilities

• Provide proactive, personalized support to high-touch, complex Commercial Lines clients.
• Offer insurance technical expertise to clients and internal teams.
• Coordinate marketing and placement of client renewals; prepare applications; evaluate carriers and quotes; make program recommendations.
• Manage client renewal expirations to avoid lapses; negotiate with carriers on behalf of clients.
• Process policies, endorsements and audits; support cross-selling initiatives and account development.
• Represent client interests in internal account strategy meetings; delegate tasks to Account Representatives.
• Respond to underwriters’ questions promptly and professionally; maintain accuracy in agency systems.
• Attend in-person client meetings frequently, with Sales Executives; engage with underwriters as needed.
