Job summary

USI Insurance Services is seeking a seasoned Senior Commercial Lines professional in Chicago to manage 20–30 large or complex accounts, serving as the day-to-day client contact. You will handle renewals, marketing, and coordination with Sales Executives and Account Managers.

You will provide technical insurance expertise to clients and the Sales team, craft carrier pricing, review options, and negotiate with carriers to protect client interests.

Qualifications

• 10+ years experience in a Commercial Lines agency.
• College degree preferred.
• Property & casualty license required.
• ARM/CIC/CPCU designation strongly preferred.
• Proficient with internet-based applications and MS Office.
• Sagitta and/or ImageRight knowledge preferred.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Keeps informed about industry trends and technology.

Responsibilities

• Manage 20–30 large or complex Commercial Lines accounts as day-to-day contact.
• Assist Sales Executives and guide Account Representatives/Managers.
• Provide insurance technical expertise to clients and teammates.
• Market and place client Commercial Lines renewals.
• Prepare client applications for review with assistance from staff.
• Determine carriers for market pricing and analyze quotes.
• Recommend insurance programs to clients.
• Manage renewal expirations to avoid lapse in coverage.
• Negotiate with carriers on behalf of clients.
• Process policies, endorsements and audits as needed.
• Champion cross-selling and develop client accounts.
• Represent client interests in internal USI strategy meetings.
• Delegate administrative tasks to Account staff.
• Respond to underwriter questions promptly.
• Maintain accuracy in agency management systems.
• Attend in-person client meetings and frequent underwriter meetings.
