Job summary

Columbia Bank seeks an experienced Commercial Banking professional to manage onboarding and ongoing relationships with Commercial customers at our Sacramento branch. The role collaborates with the Relationship Team to underwrite, document, and close C&I, construction, and term loans, while handling deposits and other services.

Responsibilities include preparing files for audits, coordinating with attorneys to protect the bank’s interests, and ensuring timely closings.

Qualifications

• Must have 10+ years of banking, loan administration and documentation experience.
• Knowledge of real estate construction draw analysis, reconciliation and disbursement.
• Ability to analyze title insurance commitment reports including title exceptions and prepares title/escrow instructions.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to mentor/coach other associates as needed.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams to manage internal and external relationships.

Responsibilities

• Onboard Commercial customers and oversee day-to-day relationship management.
• Review underwriting, documentation and closing of C&I loans, construction loans, and deposits.
• Prepare data input sheets and organize files for audit and servicing systems.
• Coordinate with attorneys to ensure accurate loan documents protecting the bank's interests.
• Set up and monitor loan closings and ensure timely conditions are met.
• Resolve customer issues related to bank products and services.
• Maintain compliance with Bank Secrecy Act and related regulations.
• Provide guidance to team members and contribute to training as SME.
