Job summary

Insurance Office of America is seeking a Senior Account Associate for Commercial Lines to provide administrative and customer service support to the account team under supervision of an Account Manager or Producer. You will manage renewals, endorsements, and client communications while ensuring quality and liability safeguards.

The role involves coordinating with the Producer and Account Executives, handling policy issuance, and maintaining accuracy in agency systems.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of customer service experience in the insurance industry.
• Thorough knowledge of insurance brokerage and client needs.
• Active licensing required; professional designation (CISR) preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent customer service, communication, multitasking, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• High School Diploma (or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Direct day-to-day activities and workflow of Support/Receptionist roles.
• Track policy expirations and ensure renewals are processed on time.
• Handle endorsements, audits, cancellations, reinstatements, and billing items.
• Support new and renewal business: gather underwriting info, submissions, coverages, pricing, proposals.
• Assist in reviewing contracts to ensure proper coverages.
• Monitor delinquent accounts and collect outstanding balances.
• Maintain agency management systems and carrier/vendor platforms.
• Communicate workload status and issues with the team.
• Deliver proactive service and respond quickly to requests.
• Stay updated on company policies and procedures.
• Seek best practices to improve team performance.
